Admissions & Getting Started
How do I get started with treatment?+

Call 800.905.6419 for a brief, confidential assessment and insurance verification. We can schedule intake within 24 hours.

How quickly can I start treatment?+

Many clients begin treatment within 24 hours of first contact. When you're ready for help, timing matters — we don't make you wait.

What should I bring to treatment?+

Photo ID, insurance information, any current medications in their original bottles, and comfortable clothing. We'll send a complete checklist before your first day.

Will my information be kept confidential?+

Yes. We strictly adhere to HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 (the federal SUD-treatment privacy rule). Information is never released without your written, revocable consent.

What if I'm not sure I'm ready?+

That's normal. A confidential conversation costs nothing and commits to nothing. Call us at 800.905.6419 — we'll talk through options without pressure.

Treatment Programs
What is IOP treatment?+

Intensive Outpatient Program: 3–4 sessions per week, 3 hours each, totaling at least 9 clinical hours. You maintain work and school while getting structured care.

Do you offer Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT)?+

Yes. We provide FDA-approved Suboxone treatment with medical monitoring, individual counseling, and coordination with primary care providers.

Do you treat co-occurring mental health conditions?+

Yes. All clients receive a psychiatric evaluation, and we treat depression, anxiety, PTSD, bipolar disorder, and ADHD alongside substance use through integrated dual-diagnosis care.

Do you offer telehealth?+

Yes. Individual therapy, MAT check-ins, and group participation are all available via secure video for clients anywhere in Arizona.

How long does treatment last?+

IOP averages 8–12 weeks; outpatient is open-ended. Recovery housing residents typically stay 6–12 months. Every plan is individualized.

Do you offer trauma-focused therapy?+

Yes — including EMDR, trauma-informed group work, and specialized care for complex trauma and PTSD that often co-occurs with substance use.

Recovery Housing
What's the difference between Level 2 and Level 3 housing?+

Level 3 is highly structured with enhanced on-site staff and a live-in house manager — best for early recovery and co-occurring disorders. Level 2 is peer-managed with greater independence — best for residents with 30+ days of stability who are working or in school.

How many beds do you have?+

75 beds across 7 recovery homes serving Tempe, Mesa, and the East Valley.

Is house staff CPR and Narcan certified?+

Yes. Live-in managers are CPR & Narcan certified, with emergency protocols and Narcan available on-site.

Can I work or go to school while in housing?+

Yes. Level 3 supports part-time work with approval; Level 2 supports full-time work or school. Both have curfews — 9pm in Level 3, 10pm in Level 2.

What's included in recovery housing?+

Furnished room, food and basic hygiene supplies, transportation to clinical programming, secure medication storage, weekly programming, and a structured peer community.

How long do residents typically stay?+

Most residents progress through a three-phase system over 6–12 months: Phase 1 Foundation (45+ days), Phase 2 Growth (15+ days), Phase 3 Independence (ongoing).

What's the Extension House?+

A bridge to fully independent living for residents who've progressed through the program: greater independence, flexible work schedules, affordable rent, and continued peer community.

Insurance & Financial
What insurance do you accept?+

We accept most major insurance plans including Aetna, Cigna, BCBS Arizona, UnitedHealthcare, TRICARE, Mercy Care, Magellan, Optum, Evernorth, Molina, Banner, and Arizona Complete Health.

How fast is insurance verification?+

Free verification typically completes within 2 hours during business hours. We'll call you with coverage details and any out-of-pocket costs before you commit to anything.

What if I don't have insurance?+

We offer flexible payment plans, sliding-scale options, and can discuss private-pay rates. Don't let insurance concerns prevent you from reaching out.

Do you accept AHCCCS / Medicaid?+

Yes — we're contracted with Arizona AHCCCS health plans including Mercy Care, Molina, Banner, and Arizona Complete Health.

Will treatment affect my employment?+

Treatment is protected under federal law (ADA, FMLA), and your employer is not notified without your written consent. Many clients attend evening IOP specifically to maintain employment.

Are there hidden fees?+

No. After verification we share a clear cost breakdown, and we don't add charges without telling you first.

Can family help pay?+

Yes — family members can serve as the financial guarantor while protecting your clinical confidentiality.

Safety & Privacy
Is treatment confidential from my family?+

Yes. Nothing about your care is shared with family unless you sign a specific written release of information. You control who knows what.

Is treatment confidential from my employer?+

Yes. We do not contact employers, and clinical information is protected by HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2.

What if I have a mental-health crisis?+

Call 988 immediately for the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, or text HOME to 741741. If you're a current client, your treatment team is available 24/7.

Are your facilities accredited?+

Yes. We are Accredited by The Joint Commission, a Certified Trauma-Informed Organization by Trauma Institute International (TII), licensed by Arizona Department of Health Services, and our housing is NARR-certified.

Do you have resources for my family?+

Yes. We offer family education sessions, recommend Al-Anon and Nar-Anon meetings, and publish family-focused content in our blog and resources library.

How can I help a loved one who isn't ready for treatment?+

Call us. Our admissions team will talk through options for motivational support, intervention specialists, and how to plant seeds without forcing the issue.

Will I be able to talk to my loved one in treatment?+

Yes, with their consent. Family contact is supported throughout. In recovery housing, phones are typically stored for the first 7 days and then earned back with structured access.
