About our IOP

Clinical structure without 24-hour supervision.

NorthSight Recovery's Intensive Outpatient Program offers a compassionate, evidence-based environment for adults managing substance use and co-occurring mental health conditions — an essential step in the recovery continuum.

Aligned with SAMHSA standards, our IOP delivers a minimum of 9 hours per week of clinical services — individual therapy, group counseling, family support, and psychiatric care — all while you maintain work, school, and family responsibilities.

What's included

  • 3–4 sessions per week, 3 hours each (minimum 9 clinical hours)
  • Group and individual therapy
  • Evidence-based modalities: CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, EMDR
  • Trauma-informed care delivered as a Certified Trauma-Informed Organization (TII)
  • Dual-diagnosis support for co-occurring mental health conditions
  • Family therapy and education
  • Return-to-use prevention and recovery-skills coaching
  • Coordination with psychiatric providers for medication management

Most clients complete IOP in 8–12 weeks before stepping down to outpatient counseling. Telehealth participation is available from anywhere in Arizona for clients whose schedules require it.

Most clients complete intake within 24 hours of first call.

Continuing your care

Built to step you down — not drop you off.

IOP graduates typically continue with our Comprehensive Outpatient Program (COP) at 3–6 hours per week. Your therapist, case manager, and any MAT prescribing follow you across levels of care.
